Surah Ash Sharh / Al Inshirah In English, Arabic

Surat Alam Nasyrah / Al Inshirah (Solace or Comfort) is the ninety-fourth sura of the Qur'an with eight ayat and is a Meccan sura.

Surah Ash Sharh (The Soothing)

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

1. Did We not soothe your heart?
2. And lift from you your burden.
3. Which weighed down your back?
4. And raised for you your reputation?
5. With hardship comes ease.
6. With hardship comes ease.
7. When your work is done, turn to devotion.
8. And to your Lord turn for everything.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Alam nasyrah laka shadrak(a)	أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ	1
Wawadha'naa 'anka wizrak(a)	وَوَضَعْنَا عَنْكَ وِزْرَكَ	2
Al-ladzii anqadha zhahrak(a)	الَّذِي أَنْقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ	3
Warafa'naa laka dzikrak(a)	وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ	4
Fa-inna ma'al 'usri yusran	فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا	5
Inna ma'al 'usri yusran	إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا	6
Fa-idzaa faraghta faanshab	فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانْصَبْ	7
Wa-ila rabbika faarghab	وَإِلَى رَبِّكَ فَارْغَبْ	8
